Myra WallaceSomething New!
A Global Mindset

By Myra Wallace, Beauty Come Forth, CEO

So here we are in twenty twelve looking back over our shoulder at all the heartaches and disappointments 2011 brought our way, determined to do it differently in 2012.  It doesn’t matter how well things went or how tragic things were for you last year, the New Year always brings a sense of hope.  For many it is simply the fact that God allowed us to see another year.  To others it may be you cheated death. No matter how subtle or dramatic your transition into this year may have been, you are here and new opportunities await your attention.  Now my question to you is, will you spend your time pondering over the past, with a multitude of regrets clogging your brain or will you press forward and explore the real world that entertains new ideas, new words, new feelings, new foods, and new surroundings? bug

Love-to-Love You Baby…
By Sharon C. Jenkins

The romantic notion of a handsome man pursuing me, even in my twilight years brings a smile to my face.  It seems as though we never give up hope in finding “the one.”  For all my liberated sisters who have achieved that wholeness on their own, more power to you.  I say that with the utmost love for you and respect for your chosen pathway.   I still fancy the notion of Prince Charming showing up on a white horse and whisking me away to an enchanted island of happily ever after.  As the words of the Donna Summer’s song, Love to Love You Baby run through my mind, I find my capability to hold on to that notion better prepares my heart for heavenly things.  The promise of eternal life becomes more real to me as I wrap my arms around the notion that a Prince will show up one day on a white horse to rescue me from this world as I presently know it to carry me to a promised mansion on streets of gold. bug

Unfinished
By Mike Bee

As my eyes gaze upon the tear stained, hard wood floors...
It's the first time I've noticed that the wood is unfinished.

I cannot escape the metaphor of what this wood is to my life.
It's not finished. Not stained with a clear coat of satisfaction. bug

Back To Basics: Giving Back To God
By Minister Cheryll “STORM” Cooks

During this time and season, I have heard a lot (and I mean a lot) about the 12 days of Christmas; and during this time and season people are always concerned about the New Year and their resolutions. bug
