The Work of an Angel
By Karicean
Angel’s journey in the beauty industry started in an art painting class. As a child he would paint images of women with colorful make-up, but never thought that he could build a career out of painting. He went from painting, drawing, and sculpturing, to photography. He realized later that he was simply looking for where he fit with his creativity. In his journey, the one thing he was sure of was his love for creating images of beautiful woman.
Angel began his threading career working as a receptionist in a threading salon along with a large group of Indian women. While learning how to do threading, the women in the salon became aware of his talent for painting and introduced him to the art of mehndi (henna designs). Angel’s curiosity peaked and he eventually added to his repertoire of talents by doing make-up, recruiting the women he worked with to be his willing canvas. He would copy every single make-up technique he saw laid out in the magazines. As a result, these same women encouraged Angel to enroll in beauty school.

Angel has carved out a reputation in the beauty industry as an expert in threading, permanent make-up, and henna stains. Angel filled a niche in the beauty industry by recognizing that many women that came to him had very little eyebrow hairs or had received horrible eyebrow tattooing. It was by this discovery that he felt he could make a huge contribution to the beauty industry by improving the appearance of those willing to be his canvas.
Angel’s newest venture is the opening of his new salon Stains Studio. Stains Studio is a dream factory, where the services are an ephemeral moment of beauty. Stains Studio represents the most mutable elements of pop culture in the beauty industry. At Stains, one can find old Eastern techniques of creating beauty such as threading, beautiful stain designs made with henna, hair coloring with all natural henna or more classic techniques such as, lash extensions, semi permanent make-up, waxing, hair cut/color, hair extensions, to the most exotic and newer techniques like black jagua stain designs, eyebrow staining, eyebrow feather tattooing and others. Angel believes his job is to enhance and create beauty for our clients.
Angel’s view on beauty is something that sparkles, but doesn’t go overboard. His word for this is "Sutil," which is Spanish for “Subtle.” Beauty Come Forth is pleased to introduce you to the artist and work of Mr. Angel Cisped (See Angel’s work on this month’s cover model; BCF Publisher, Myra Wallace).
