Lover of My Soul
By: Myra Wallace
The greatest gifts God gave this world was man. Recognizing that although he appointed women as the vessel to bring life into this world, He first created man and from you He made me, and for that I am eternally grateful. I acknowledge the fact that we were created in the image of God and because He saw fit to give us this unique ability to love, I choose to express my love to my Male Room men in the form of this poem written to the world’s perfect man and dedicated to you.

LOVER OF MY SOUL
You, who romanced my mind, with words in songs of love,
Enticed my thoughts to think on high, of visions from above.
You…know all of me it seems, yes, even the things not shared,
Yet you, my Love, embrace me still, details, when no one cared.
You hold me in your arms at night, me, shaking, with tears that flow,
Never to ask, what is my hurt, then again, I’m sure you know.
You always seem to show in times, I need someone the most,
You pick me up; you lift my head, then stand me at my post.
Remembering still, the day I felt so close to giving up,
You spoke those words that touched my heart and filled my spiritual cup.
New life you gave, free of charge, no conditions were attached,
You won my heart, gave me the start, please let me give it back.
To you, my Love, who gave His life, that I may live mine free,
I love you more, than life itself; so let mine speak for me.
You cared enough to plant the seed of faith inside my soul,
You bled and died, stood by my side, and all the world behold…
If on this earth, were me alone, I know you’d done the same,
Cause you’re the Lover of my Soul; in you I stake my claim.
So to this day, I’m glad to say, I owe my life to you,
Please take it as my gift of love, the least that I could do.
Yes here’s my heart, my soul, my flesh, my spirit you made complete,
No earthly man could fill your shoes, with You they can’t compete.
For you, my love, have made me queen of life eternally,
And in return, I pledge to you, the deepest parts of me.
You are the Lover of My Soul; I want to say it loud,
For all you’ve done to show your love, of you I am so proud.
Yes, you’re the Lover of my Soul, I say because I can,
My Lord, My King, My Everything, JESUS, my Perfect Man.
