shakingPRESSING FORWARD IN SPITE OF

I talked to a young lady who is dealing with lots of issues in her life. "I don't have the strength to take one more step. The harder I try, the harder I'm hit," she said. She is trying to navigate through a bad economy, a lay off, sickness, and a defiant child and is close to throwing up her hands. How do you keep pressing forward when it seems as if life isn't playing fair? What do you do when you have done all that you can do and yet you are still saturated with pain, turmoil, and disappointment?

There is a lady in the Bible who is known by her issues (Mark 5:25-34). She had been battling a blood issue for twelve years and had financial issues as well. She had spent all she had in failed attempts to get well. She had people issues. No one wanted to be around her because people with blood issues in those biblical times were considered unclean. One day she heard that Jesus would be in the area. What would make her try one more thing after experiencing such let downs and defeats? What would make her keep pressing forward through the crowd, defying her situation and the opinions of others? She refused to let go of her faith and give up hope!

I want to challenge you this week to keep pressing forward. No matter what your issues are, you can't give up hope. The solution to your problems is so close that you can touch it. This week have the determination to say, "If I can just touch Jesus, I know I'll be alright!" Get in God's presence. Press forward with prayer and positive biblical confessions. Don't let your negative circumstances define you! Defy them. Press, press, press! You'll make it! You'll win! Don't give up!  bug
